60 foot boats need someone in charge. Coxswains take command of the crews, help develop the rowers, execute race plans, and work with coaches to make boats go as fast as possible

ON CAMPUS RECRUITING EVENTS

Each fall the Rowing Club hold open recruiting and tryouts at the beginning of the semester. We typically can be found set up near Tate in the middle of campus, and can provide you with any information you need.

For Freshman interested in trying out, please stop by our table at Tate during the first 2 weeks of classes and ask any questions you might have. We will be at the student engagement fair and be hosting mass informational meetings to give those interested a more in depth look at our team, coaches, and the sport of rowing! Any interested students are also encouraged to fill out our new rower interest form here.

TRYOUTS

​September 5th & 6th, 4pm, Pavilion by the tennis courts at the IM Fields.

Learn to use the rowing machine and workout with the team.

September 7th, 4pm-8pm, Pavilion by the tennis courts at the IM Fields.

Swing by anytime between 4pm and 8pm to row 2000m as fast as you can on the rowing machine.
